In Person Event: ALL MATERIALS WILL BE PROVIDED
Oct 4-5 10am-5pm
I have been getting a flood of emails and correspondence asking what the next event class will be. Hold on to your hats, because here it is—-and it’s going to be amazing.
There has only been one extraterrestrial creature in all of cinema history that has completely convinced me of its reality, that appeared so realistic that I couldn’t understand how they did it, exactly. This, my friends, is the “Facehugger” incarnation of the creature in ‘ALIEN’, the first stage of the beast’s ever-evolving appearance. Eight-fingered, spinal-corded, crab-like and tough, this monster has always been my very favorite movie creature. For this event, I am proud to have recreated the appearance of the being in question, paying strict attention to every last detail of its original look as it was presented in the 1979 classic. A series of layers and translucent paint work—-as well as some special materials—-are employed to obtain the look seen here. So each student will receive their own facehugger to paint (it’s got more color going on than you would think!), and will also have the opportunity to meet and chat with the incredible actress Veronica Cartwright! That’s right, Ms. Cartwright will be in-person to answer your burning questions about her involvement in the monster movie that started it all—-and changed creature design forever. Sign up now; don’t miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet a horror legend and to recreate the greatest alien being of all time!
